Tele-Apathy
05:36
|
|
||
why don't you write yourself a song
so we can give a shit about that
so everyone will be happy about that
why not write the perfect love song
so we can give a shit about that
so everyone will care about that
why not write all the songs you want
we've been writing on our own
since the day that we left home
we're not looking for a microphone
to turn the song into a poem
why don't you get yourself a job
so everyone will care about that
your parents will happy about that
why don't form the right relationships
so everyone will care about that
you can pretend to give a fuck about that
we've been dying on our own
since the day that you left home
we're not looking towards the telephone
every time we want to be alone
car crash gas mask fate demands its gravity
to overlook your circumstance is an open hand to tragedy
your best defense a closed fist projecting tele-apathy
to maintain your sanity you broaden up your tapestry
life, as much as death, is a process that's still happening
it reciprocates each other always watch what you're envisioning
we've been riding on our own
since the day that we left home
we're looking towards the microphone
to turn the song into a poem

Ghost
05:44
|
|

the irony of living
is that it never lasts
as soon as you acknowledge it
it sails onto the past
to where you can think of dying
as your chance to gain it back
it's just the same as dreaming
you have fallen in a trap
it's an experience
it is no different
from anything
you would ever dream of
it's not permanent
it will be a sacrament
it will be a testament
to your love
I was still asleep
when a ghost came down the hall
when I tried to speak
I couldn't make a word at all
I tried to move my feet
but my legs had gone numb
taking steps closer
towards the thing that I'd become
when she told me I was awake
how did she share when my fate
how many dreams would it take
to have this memory erased
the irony of dying is that it never lasts
just as soon as you acknowledge it
it sails on to the past
to where you can think of living
as your chance to gain it back
well it's just the same as dreaming
you have fallen in a trap

Supernature
04:57
|
|
||
today we are alive
because tomorrow we're dead
it's not a reason to be sad
but a reason to be glad
things you thought were impossible
are concealed to make life plausible
because nothing gold can stay
you'll spend your life in the mines that way
but something supernatural will occur in your lifetime
there is no escape
you're only half-way awake
wait until you believe
this life was built to suit your needs
because everything is dark
then it goes it away
some day you may
long to see yourself that way
but something supernatural will occur in your lifetime
I looked into the shape
ans saw it shift into my eye
until it was them instead of me
a streaming light into the sky
without words the universe
explained to my true disguise
among the sight between the light
that yet denied the need for eyes
and with a sigh time cries
returns to you my old disguise
where divided lullabies
divide my old mines
where divided lullabies
confuse my old mind

Clear Water
03:47

the clearest water I ever saw
sirens swam like nothing at all
I got tempted and I jumped right in
her and I on a magical swim
watch the way she moves through the air
high above the ground without a care
I saw my face on the bottom
if only these thoughts meant
what they mean when I thought them
the clearest water I'd ever known
carry me back to my home
every time I thought I had drown
find her feet buried into the ground
she was not afraid to just stand up
below the ground I thought I was above
I was reaching for something in the air
for whatever got me
so very wet behind the ears
sometimes I feel it is too shallow
other times I know it is too deep
every time my mind tries to follow
somewhere along the lines I fall asleep
and float downstream
the clearest water I'd ever seen
a ghost could have floated it was fit for a dream
it wasn't there and yet I jumped right in
now that I'm dead I'll never do it again
do it again

Parallel Universe
05:44
|
|
||
this will be the last time
I ever try to be alive
I am in the mood for some different
and I am not afraid if I die
life will be the opposite
of what you want it to
so if you really know what you want
focus that away from you
a parallel universe
I found myself for the first time
asleep on a cloud above
I realized from this height
the biggest crime was sedentary love
I tried to be
the furthest that I could from earth and sea
until deep within a black hole
I came across the other side of me
a parallel universe
there are two ways
one of them
is all of them

Into the Night
04:13
|
|
||
I fell into the night
the way my body repairs when its sleeps
at the place where the ghosts pass into the light
at the time when your soul awakens up from a dream
and yet none of it
occurs to you that way
I just sat and hoped there'd be nothing to say
then the moment I saw you
the vision went deeper into my self
until I almost certainly knew
that you would kill me for my health
and I had died so many times that it felt good
regurgitating the words you understood
and i know I'm not the person you want me to be
if the person you see is just largely yourself
we both need something else as an insurance from health
so when our bodies melt we can distinguish ourselves
in the shape of what's gone to find the opposite form
reciprocate where you are from and then divide when you are gone
